Founded in 1859 by J. Duchesne, who directed it until his death in 1888, continued by E. Duchesne until 1913, then by the Société E. Duchesne et Cie, this house, whose beginnings were of the most modest, became one of the oldest and most important manufacturers of weighing instruments in France. Its main specialties consist in the manufacture of scales, weighbridges for all kinds and all countries. She is also in charge of general mechanical work, but more particularly of cutting and stamping articles of all kinds.
